Class Description
Special cards for oviposition serve as basis for monitoring of vine moths. Up to now, these cards have been evaluated by expert inspections. The goal of the project is the development of a new automatic evaluation system that is based on a smart phone application. It employes the smart phone’s integrated camera for an image-based counting of eggs and the GPS receiver to determine the current position. The data consisting of the time, the egg coung per card and the position can be used to monitor the vine moth population. Monitoring data can be used as decision support for insecticide application.
